History Charles E. Ware & Son were established in 1871 by Charles Edwin Ware, who at that time was the Town Surveyor for the City of Exeter; he later served as the Mayor of Exeter. In the history of the Practice, there have been three generations of the Ware family the last of whom retired in 1979.
Over the years Charles E. Ware & Son have developed into a modern Architectural Practice looking towards the future whilst still maintaining its roots bedded in its history. Our current partners have vast experience and the practice has expanded greatly over the last 15 years. This controlled growth has put us in a position of being able to handle projects well in excess of £5 million.
Practice Capabilities Charles E. Ware & Son is an Architectural, Surveying and Planning Consultancy providing a wide range of services to both the Private and Public Sector Clients which is tailored to suit each individual project and Client requirements.
We are experienced at carrying out the full range of Architectural services including Feasibility Studies, Building Surveys and Project Management.
The Practice offers a full Architectural service from initial advice on the need for building work / the suitability of the site, the development of the project brief, scheme proposals to finalise the design of the building, submitting/obtaining statutory approvals, preparation of production information (drawings and specifications) to obtain tenders and letting contracts, monitoring work on site, arranging for handover/commissioning of the completed building and preparing the programme for servicing and maintenance of the completed building.
